Power over Ethernet PoE(PD) - powered device Power supply via Power over Ethernet (PD) expands the range of applications. Here the Twisted Pair connection cable (length: up to 100 m) carries the data and supplies power to the iSwitch. |
Power over Ethernet PoE(PSE) - power source equipment Moreover, all iSystems are available with an integrated 4x PSE-extension. All connected PoE (PD)-enabled devices and iSystems are supplied with power via the connection cable. |

iFiberCon 211 | Increased noise levels, longer distances and potential differences are reasons for using fiber-optic (FO) cables for data transmission.
The iFiberCon media converter can be used as an interface between Twisted Pair (TP) and FO cables. Shorter signal delays, also at the switch, emphasize the importance of using iFiberCon for time-sensitive applications. PoE PD and PSE features are supported. By using a remote power supply a decentralized installation, e.g. within a FO distributor, is another obvious application.
